During academic year 1999-2000, two Doctoral Internationalization Consortium conferences have been held:
 

Finance:  17-19 February 2000, The Anderson School at UCLA

Faculty:  Michael Brennan (UCLA), Bhagwan Chowdhry (UCLA), David Hsieh (Duke University), John McConnell (Purdue University), Vance Roley (University of Washington), Eduardo Schwartz (UCLA), Laura Starks (University of Texas, Austin), Anjan Thakor (University of Michigan).

Student Participants: Twenty-five students from quality institutions were selected to participate in the consortium.

Accounting:  16-18 March 2000, University of Washington

Organizers: Consortium Co-Chairs are Gary L. Sundem, Julius A. Roller Professor of Accounting and Associate Dean for Masters Programs, and Terry J. Shevlin, Deloitte and Touche Professor of Accounting and Director of PhD Programs, at the University of Washington in Seattle

Student Participants: PhD candidates from across the country heard presentations by senior faculty members from the consortium schools. They participated in formal discussions of research agendas and informal dialogue among peers and mentors in the field of international accounting.
