life includes many opportunities to get involved
and make a difference. You can hone your leadership
skills not only through academic achievement, but
also through participation in volunteer activities
and the various organizations offered by the school. |
Management
Volunteer Program (MVP)
Founded by students in 1991, MVP responds to local needs,
improving the community in which students live while
giving them leadership opportunities. MVP projects have
included mentoring local students, cleaning public parks,
and collecting toys for hospitalized children.
Krannert
Graduate Student Association (KGSA)
The KGSA is the central graduate student organization.
As part of its role, KGSA:

Organizes professional
development programs and sponsors volunteerism -
KGSA uses resources from the Graduate Student Leadership
Fund to sponsor volunteer and professional development
activities, many of which are organized by the various
student clubs devoted to specific functions or areas
of interest. |

Coordinates alumni contacts -
Alumni networking activities include the Alumni
Mentor Program, which matches an alumni mentor to
an entering master's student for professional development. |

Serves as a liaison with administration
and faculty and advises on curriculum improvement. |

Promotes diversity and champions
student needs. |
 |
Serves as a central link between
the other student clubs and organizations at Krannert. |
 |
Organizes social events - These
events include tailgate parties, movie nights, happy
hours, banquets, picnics, and golf days. |
