Are you a High Achiever? Many opportunities are available to motivated students in the School of Management. The following list outlines information about how to take advantage of those opportunities. Check this web site for more information about chances to GET INVOLVED.

Barbara G. Doster Leadership Forum (BGDLF) | Burton D. Morgan Entrepreneurial Competition | Career Fairs | Host-a-Freshman | Purdue - IU Case Challenge | Student Organizations | Study Abroad | 3+2 Program | University of Texas Case Competition

Barbara G. Doster Leadership Forum (BGDLF)

This highly unique, dynamic and interactive leadership conference is unlike any other of its kind. Throughout the three days of the Forum, the 100 School of Management students led by 20 company sponsors will be challenged to "piece together" qualities such as interpersonal communication, teamwork, conflict resolution, etiquette, and leadership. This will be done through activities such as team workshops and professional speakers, as well as nontraditional leadership conference activities like the BGDLF Team Olympics and Saturday night dinner in downtown Indianapolis. It is entirely student run, assuring that it will be an extremely fun and worthwhile event that every School of Management student should apply for. The next BGDLF will be held in February 2007.

Burton D. Morgan Entrepreneurial Competition

It is an annual event that gives Purdue students the opportunity to demonstrate your unique ideas for new products or services that you believe could be successfully developed into a profitable business. In the past, we've had ideas as diverse as "customized cereal" and "used cars on the web." Any type of business idea is acceptable!

Host-a-Freshman

Remember how nervous you were before your freshmen year? Now's your chance to help out an incoming freshmen. Call-outs for hosts will be in the spring.

Purdue - IU Case Challenge

We compete every year in hoops and in football why not take the competition to the world of business. Every year Purdue and IU will alternate hosting a Case Challenge. Check this web site for information about the next Case Challenge.

Student Clubs and Organizations

Study Abroad

Students overwhelmingly agree that studying internationally is an experience that has given them a more sophisticated understanding of themselves, their own society and culture, and the world. Through a firsthand experience of another culture, you can enrich your academic disciplines with comparative perspectives while broadening your personal horizons

3+2 Program

The "3+2" program is available to outstanding undergraduates in the School of Management. The program allows students to complete their B.S. and MBA degrees in a five-year period. Students take three years of undergraduate courses, and then complete the MBA program during their senior year plus one additional year. Students receive their B.S. or B.S.I.M. degree in May of their fourth year and their MBA the following May. The MBA course sequence satisfies the remainder of the undergraduate course requirements. To be considered for this program, the student's grade point average must be 3.7/4.0 at the beginning of the junior year. Students that are eligible to apply will be invited to an information session during the spring of their sophomore year or fall of their junior year.

All students should discuss the "3+2" program with an undergraduate advisor prior to their fifth semester to make sure they will be able to fulfill the required "3+2" program prerequisites. To be considered for this program, the student’s grade point average must be 3.7/4.0 at the beginning of the junior year. Also, eligible students will have completed 94 credit hours by the end of their junior year. Click for additional program information.
